The Machine Shop bumper plates are the work of thousands of drop tests and dozens of combinations of materials.

These are not your regular bumper plates. They are made from an unbreakable type of rubber hard enough to withstand anything you throw at it.

You can find them in boxes that heavily use them – and abuse them – years after purchase still looking good as new.

We have perfected the inside steel ring over the years so it does not break off even in the toughest of situations. It does no longer have diagonal axes that go into the body of the weight and instead it surrounds it for maximum grip.

Please bear in mind that the regular 5kg version of those plates is not suitable for drops from height due to its small thickness. For this reason we have the “fat” version of the 5kg plate, which is thicker but shorter.
